How to get certified with Databricks Data Engineering Associate

I break down my journey to get certified with Databricks Data Engineering Associate certification.

Yesterday, I passed the Databricks Data Engineering (DE) Associate certificate. You can verify my credentials here.

If you are working on Data AI field, I recommend you take a look at the Databricks ecosystem and get certified with Databricks.

For me, I would like to re-skill into the DE field. I find that the Databricks Data Engineering Associate certificate is good enough to get started with. It’s not that hard as AWS Data Analytics Speciality exam.

This is the exam home page. The exam cost you USD 200 but Databricks do give exam vouchers if you participate in one of their community events which take place every month. I got a USD 150 voucher hence I only paid USD 50 for the exam.

On Udemy, there is a course with practice exams for this certificate. However, I did not purchase. I find that the content on the Databricks academy is sufficient.

Once you have an account on Databricks Academy, you search for “Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate” and there are relevant contents returned. They also have practice exam on the academy I find that there are some questions repeated in the actual exam.

Also, you should spend time and some money to create an account on Databricks to do some hands-on labs.

My next goal is to get the Databricks Certified Data Engineering Professional.
